RSD #1,817 & 1,818 Weekend runs

Posted on May 28, 2023June 19, 2026 by Colleen

Yesterday was a four mile run and today was 9.25 so between the two days I ran a half marathon. I was worried about today as my body just seems tired. I felt really good and strong most of the way. About the eight mile mark I started to fade a little.

My nutrition the night before and the morning of were not good and I know that will make a difference going into the half next weekend. I didn’t have a good meal the night before and didn’t have anything for a smoothie before the long run this morning which are how I typically prep and now I know it makes a difference.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day and a day off to remember all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives to protect our freedom and way of life. I am grateful for so many things and running is one of them. I have said it before and I will say it again, I do not take this for granted and enjoy every mile.

Run happy!
