Really thought I posted yesterday. It’s been a long week and it is only Thursday. Still working then coming home and unpacking boxes and putting things away.
Today I witnessed a car almost take out the school crossing guard as he was moving the 15 mile an hour sign into the road. The crossing guard was frozen and didn’t move for about 10 seconds after the car passed. He looked at me and said, “That guy almost hit me…he didn’t slow down!” I acknowledged that I saw the whole thing and told him I was glad he was okay.
Makes me grateful there are crossing guards for our kids because some people just don’t pay attention. Good people who just get distracted. I don’t think the driver was malicious or intended to scare the crossing guard and certainly didn’t want to hurt him. He must have been in a hurry to get to work. That is the most generous explanation I can give for his behavior.
So the lesson for me today was to slow down, pay attention, and enjoy the journey!
Run happy!
