My run today fueled me up and I felt good vibes from all I encountered on my route. Just one of those days where the world seems a little brighter. Even though it was cloudy and muggy it was a bright and beautiful morning run. Run happy!

RSD #1,534 & #1,535 The Crossing Guard
Really thought I posted yesterday. It’s been a long week and it is only Thursday. Still working then coming home and unpacking boxes and putting things away. Today I witnessed a car almost take out the school crossing guard as he was moving the 15 mile an hour sign into the road. The crossing guard…
RSD #1,533 The Extra Mile…Fred Factor
Just finished listening to the Fred Factor by Mark Sanborn today and then came upon this quote on Facebook today: Running Truth: The extra mile is always much easier than the first mile. Isn’t that true with so many things. Isn’t it easier to be a Fred and go the extra mile at work, at…
RSD #1,532 Last run at Bronco Ln
Today was my last day at the Bronco Lane house and therefore my running route when visiting there. It was a horseshoe shaped route with some small hills, lots of trees, and wide sidewalks. There were usually people out walking their dogs, biking, or just out strolling and it didn’t matter what time of the…
RSD #1,531 Watson Lake in Prescott
A beautiful morning on the Watson Lake trail in Prescott, Arizona. The trail around the lake is supposed to be five miles. The last time I tried to hike the trail we actually got sidetracked onto a different trail and did a 12 mile hike. I was determined to follow the trail this time, however,…
RSD #1,529 Day after & #1,530 Float spa
I opted to run in the evening on the treadmill the day after the surgery to allow over 24 hours from the time of the surgery. I ran slow and kept my heart rate under 130. Got the three miles in and all went well. No bleeding or concerns. Today it was an early morning…
RSD #1,528 Surgery day
Posting a day late… Got up early and had a good out and back run today at the new place. Enjoying finding new routes and observing the surroundings. Then prepared for the surgery to remove the cancer on my lip. SO happy they were able to keep the amount of skin the had to remove…
RSD #1,527 New routines
Getting settled into the new house. Found a new path and ran out and back today. I love starting my day with a run. It feels like a win for my physical and mental health. My mind is alert and I am full of hope for the day. Finding new routines and a new path…
RSD #1,525 and #1,526 Moving sucks
I’ve done more than my fair share of moving over the last three years. I don’t really mind it and yet each time it is a serious reminder of all the crap we accumulate! Waking up early on moving day to go for a run seems crazy to most people. To me it helps to…
RSD #1,523 & #1,524 Out of My Rhythm
It is moving weekend for my youngest son, Cullen, who is relocating from Prescott Valley to Phoenix. I haven’t been home for the last few days as I went up to help get the house packed up. Being away from home has me out of my routine and, therefore, not consistent with my writing. Running…
